Hegg Marine Solutions, now a division of Falmouth Scientific, Inc. was started April 2008 by owner and operator, Frederick Hegg. Fred Hegg is Vice President of Engineering at Falmouth Scientific and has over 30+ years experience in the ocean industry. Mr. Hegg has been involved in the development of a wide range of products from acoustic positioning and release systems to high resolution swath bathymetry systems as well as diver navigation systems and deep-water dynamic positioning beacons for companies that include Datasonics, Benthos, Teledyne and Falmouth Scientific Fred has over 22 years of experience in the design and operation of 6000m rated deep towed sonar systems. His most recent projects at Falmouth Scientific have been related to developments portable seismic systems and shipboard hull mounted deep water bottom profiling arrays.
Fred's experience also includes 11 years of service in the U.S. military as a Staff Non Commissioned Officer with the United States Marine Corps and Reserve. SEMPER FI
